My wife and I and our 12 year old twin boys spend a little under a week at this wonderful property in late June. Dave met us promptly at the villa and was very helpful explaining everything and he made it very clear that he was on call for us (didn’t realize this upfront) 24/7 while we were there. Fortunately, aside from a simple cable related question, we were able to leave him alone. We love Kapalua and to be able to stay so close to the water and have such amazing views was quite a treat. An added benefit that we took full advantage of for meals and the spa was having the Montage hotel about a 4 minute walk from the villa. This was when we didn’t make our own food in the fully stocked kitchen that had everything we needed. I would suggest, however, that some new frying pans would be a good idea as the 3-non stick pans were pretty scratched up–certainly not the end of the world though. Also, the beach in front of the Ritz hotel which is 5 minutes north is great for boogie boarding and body surfing in the waves as there is a life guard. The surf can be a bit treacherous at times but the life guards were always happy to explain in detail the current conditions and whether or not it was safe for children. All in all, we had a great time and it is not a matter of if but when we return again!
